Objective symptoms

  1. Visual and tectile inspection-
  1. Color
  2. Contour
  3. Consistency
  • Thermal tests
    1. Heat tests- isolation of the tooth use of :
    1. warm air
    2. hot water
    3. hot burnisher
    4. hot gutta-percha stick
  • cold tests
    1. ethyle chloride spray
    2. ice pencils
    3. co2 snow – temperature 18 c
  • electric pulp testing
  • radiographs
  • anesthetic tests
  • test cavity
